Train Fitness automatically tracks your rest time, counting the seconds since you finished your last set. This rest time is displayed on your Apple Watch, in the iPhone Live Activity, as well as in the workout view on your iPhone app.
You can also add a Rest Alarm to any workout, which specifies a time at which you should be notified about your next set.
Rest Alarm with Manual Exercises:
When logging manual exercises, our auto-detection functionality is unable to determine when your set ended - and thus does not know the exact time to start counting the rest timer. To circumvent this, Train Fitness will estimate the rest timer start period, based on when you logged the set, the exercise type, and the amount of reps.
For best results, we recommend logging a manual set after you perform the set.
Setting the Rest Alarm in Templates
You can set a global rest alarm for an entire workout, but you can also specify the individual rest times for each set in a template workout.
In a Templated Workout, the Rest Alarm is specified by the "Rest" for each unlogged set. This allows custom rest values for each given set you perform.
When there are upcoming sets, your template defines the rest alarm time. You can set different rest alarm times between sets for the same exercise. If there are no upcoming sets, there will be no rest alarm. Instead, you will see the timer that counts up.
You can change these values by directly tapping on the rest time for each upcoming set on your iPhone.
Rest Alarm Audio Prompts:
If you want to be notified through your headphones when your Reset Alarm is up, you can turn on "Audio" alerts from the Rest Alarm settings. These prompts will notify you when it's time to start your next set via a voice-prompt through your headphones.
