When editing sets on the Train Fitness iPhone app, you have three options to choose from within the iPhone workout editor:
All Sets
This Set
Auto Update✨
Each of these update options provide a different way to apply your changes to other sets in the exercise, depending on the state of the workout and upcoming sets.
All Sets
As the name suggests, when All Sets is selected, any changes made will be applied to all sets within that exercise, irrespective of if set is logged or not, and irrespective of which set you make the change to.
This Set
As the name suggests, when This Set is selected, any changes made are applied only to that chosen set.
Auto Update ✨
This is the default setting, and the setting most used when editing a workout. Default Update uses some magic behind the scenes to smartly update & adjust set values based on the change you made. At a high level, you can expect:
When editing a set, any unlogged set after the current set will increase by the same increment.
E.g., If you increase set 1 from 20 Lb to 25 Lb, and set 2 is 30 Lb, it will increase to 35 Lb (increased by a 5 Lb increment)
Auto Update will automatically apply changes only to sets AFTER the set being edited, not before.
Auto Update will automatically apply changes only to UNLOGGED sets. Logged sets are not modified.
Auto Update will automatically apply changes to other sets only when editing an unlogged set. When editing a logged set, changes will apply only to the selected set.
