For unilateral exercises, one rep includes both left and right sides. A 3-rep minimum is required for auto-detection.

For auto-detected exercises, reps are automatically tracked by Train Fitness AI. Train Fitness currently supports over 470 exercises with auto-detection, and we expect this number to grow significantly as we improve our AI.

Unilateral (x2 rep) Exercises

In exercises that involve movements on both the left and right sides, a single repetition includes action on both sides. For example, in Bicycle Crunches, touching opposite elbows to knees in succession counts as 1 rep. Therefore, 6 full cycles equal 6 reps, not 12.

Rep Threshold

By default, Train Fitness has a minimum rep threshold of 3 reps. This means you must perform at least 3 reps of any given exercise for Train Fitness to detect it.
