For auto-detected exercises, reps are automatically tracked by Train Fitness AI. Train Fitness currently supports over 470 exercises with auto-detection, and we expect this number to grow significantly as we improve our AI.
Unilateral (x2 rep) Exercises
In exercises that involve movements on both the left and right sides independently, reps are counted using only one side.
As an example, in Single Arm Lat Pulldowns, if you were to perform x10 reps first with your left hand, then x10 reps with your right hand, this would be logged as 10 reps, not as 20. The reason for this is Train Fitness tracks "complete" movements a rep, and a complete movement includes both sides.
You can identify which exercises are Unilateral exercises by looking for the "x2" on your watch or iPhone app.
Rep Threshold
By default, Train Fitness has a minimum rep threshold of 3 reps. This means you must perform at least 3 reps of any given exercise for Train Fitness to detect it.
