The Future of Automated Gym Workout Tracking
Train Fitness uses a proprietary technology, Neural Kinetic Profiling™ (NKP), to accurately capture and analyze human motion. This AI algorithm tracks user movements, creating a digital signature of physical activity.
NKP is an advanced artificial intelligence algorithm designed to track human motion in 3D space with unprecedented precision. NKP is modeled after the intricate workings of the human brain, utilizing layers of artificial neural connectors that mimic the neural networks in the brain. Each layer of neurons in NKP is trained to recognize subtle patterns in motion data, allowing the algorithm to distinguish between different exercises, count repetitions, and monitor form.
Background
NKP was invented in 2020 by a group of engineers and PhDs from Harvard University, the Indian Institute of Technology, and the University of Toronto. Their goal was to create a system that could automatically detect and analyze complex movement patterns in real-time, using only the data captured by a wrist-worn wearable such as the Apple Watch.
How It Works
The Apple Watch’s core sensors track the motion of a user’s wrist, and NKP decodes this raw motion data into relevant exercise and rep logs, allowing Train Fitness to accurately track what exercise a user is doing, count their reps, and provide form-feedback.
The Neural Kinetic Profiling™ model has advanced learning capabilities, and is able to adapt to each unique user’s movements. It can typically take up to 5 workouts for the NKP model to fully learn a user’s movement pattern and achieve full accuracy potential. It also integrates heart rate and EMG data from wrist micro-movements, creating a comprehensive biomechanical model. This multi-modal fusion allows NKP to distinguish between similar exercises with high accuracy.
Built on cutting-edge AI and machine learning, NKP revolutionizes automated gym workout tracking, enabling precise exercise identification and rep counting.
